Google automatically removes your entire Android backup after 2 months

We all know that Google Drive is a common man’s data savior, as it backs up all the data on our Android devices. Most Android device users use Google Driven to store everything from contacts and images to messages and much more. However, a recent report has claimed that Google automatically deletes Android backup if you leave it unused for over a period of two consecutive months.

Details of the report
Google is allegedly said to have deleted his entire data backup from 50 Android apps, Android device settings, and Wi-Fi passwords. There is no option to recover the data that is once deleted. The report also says that even a person who has a paid subscription of up to 100 GB can’t get any option to restore the lost data.

Google doesn’t alert its users before removing the Android device backup. The search engine starts the countdown of expiration date when someone leaves his Android device unused for two weeks.

The Rescue
Google launched a new feature in October for general users with which they will be able to easily access the Google Drive files. Google’s Drive File Stream, which was unveiled in March, will replace its Drive folder on which most of the users were dependent until now.

Unlike Google Drive, Google Drive Stream won’t take space on the hard disk.

How to delete Google search history of your android devices?

Google, the giant search engine has recently updated its search app to enhance user experience in more than one ways. After this update, the search app started keeping your search history in the form of screenshots. As you open the Google search app, you will see a clock-like icon placed on the bottom right corner; clicking on which you can see screenshot history of your searches in the past days. You can even search histories of particular days by swiping right.

Want your histories removed?
While some people find the feature useful in getting back to their searched history, some others think of it as a privacy invasion. People who don’t want their histories saved don’t need to worry, as they have a fix to this. You can simply delete the stored screenshot or disable the feature to protect your privacy.

What’s the way to remove histories?
Once you tap on the clock like symbol placed in the bottom right corner, you will be able to see the search history of last seven days. Now swipe up each search and delete all screenshots. You also have the option to disable this feature to avoid the need to delete screenshots every now and then.

What’s the way to disable search histories?
Disable the search history saving option by going to the main screen and clicking on the three horizontal lines located on the top left corner of your device’s screen. Here is the main menu, and you need to go the Settings and then Accounts & Privacy option. On this screen, you can simply turn off the currently enabled option for disabling the search histories.
